At Rise Reno, we want you to feel confident knowing exactly what happens during your flooring project. Here’s how we install Mohawk PureTech, Mohawk’s premier waterproof flooring line.
Preparation
We deliver your PureTech flooring a few days before installation so it can adjust to your home’s temperature and humidity. During this stage, you only need to clear personal items—we’ll move the heavy furniture.
We also check the subfloor for moisture and levelness. Concrete must be fully cured and dry, and wood subfloors should be within acceptable moisture levels. This prevents future issues like gaps or buckling.
Demolition & Subfloor
We remove old flooring and baseboards, then prepare the subfloor. Any dips or uneven spots are leveled, and if we’re installing over concrete, we add a moisture barrier for extra protection.
Installation
PureTech installs as a floating floor using Mohawk’s durable click-lock system. We carefully align and lock planks together, staggering end joints for strength and leaving proper expansion gaps at the walls to allow for natural movement.
Finishing Touches
Once planks are in place, we reinstall baseboards and transitions, and seal edges in high-moisture areas. This helps ensure your WetProtect® Warranty coverage is fully maintained.
Completion
We return your furniture, placing protective felt pads (provided by us) underneath to help guard against scratches. Finally, we leave the space clean and ready to enjoy.
Client Closeout
We review the finished project with you, explain proper care and cleaning, and provide peace of mind with Mohawk’s premier warranties:
- Lifetime All Pet Gold™ Stain & Scratch Warranty
- Lifetime WetProtect® Waterproof Warranty
- GenuEdge® Bevel for realistic hardwood edges
- PVC-Free, eco-friendly construction
