Mohawk RevWood™ Premier Floors: Care Guide + Warranty Summary

If you recently installed Mohawk RevWood™ Premier, this guide will help you protect your floors, keep them looking great, and understand the basics of Mohawk’s warranty coverage.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

Daily / Weekly Cleaning

  • Sweep, dust mop, or vacuum regularly to remove grit that can scratch the surface.
  • Use a vacuum designed for hard surfaces — avoid beater bars / rotary brush heads.

Damp Cleaning (Only When Allowed by Your Wet Warranty)

  • For occasional damp cleaning (only when your product’s wet warranty allows it), use a lightly damp mop with water.
  • If needed, Mohawk states you may mix:
    • 1 cup white vinegar per gallon of water, or
    • 1/3 cup non-sudsing ammonia per gallon of water.

Important “Do Not” List

  • Never flood or soak the floor.
  • Do not pour liquid directly on the floor.
  • Do not use an excessively wet mop.
  • Do not allow liquid to puddle or stand.
  • Avoid detergents/soaps, waxes, polishes, abrasive cleaners, and power scrubbers.

Spills

  • Wipe up spills promptly using a clean, dry or slightly damp cloth.
  • If needed, use Mohawk-recommended products and a microfiber cloth.

Steam Mops

  • Only use a steam mop if your specific product includes a Steam Mop Warranty.
  • Follow Mohawk’s limits for use (settings, pad type, and method).

MOHAWK WARRANTY HIGHLIGHTS (SUMMARY)

WetProtect® Warranty (RevWood Plus & RevWood Premier)

  • A wet warranty that covers damage from common household spills, domestic pet accidents, and damp/wet mopping.
  • Includes topical moisture protection for the flooring and subfloor for the life of the product (when requirements are met).
  • Coverage depends on proper installation and proper care/maintenance as described in Mohawk’s written instructions.
  • For complete wet-warranty coverage, Mohawk requires the perimeter of the floor to be sealed per installation instructions.

NOT COVERED (EXAMPLES)

  • Damage from excessively wet maintenance or from using detergents, abrasive cleaners, soaps, waxes, or polishes.
  • Damage related to unapproved cleaning tools (including rotating beater bars / rotary brush heads).
  • Issues caused by installation that doesn’t follow Mohawk’s written installation instructions.
  • Flooding, plumbing leaks, or moisture coming from beneath the floor (wet warranties focus on topical household moisture; refer to full terms for specifics).

Can I wet mop RevWood™ Premier?

Does WetProtect® cover flooding or plumbing leaks?

What does Rise Reno’s Lifetime Labor Warranty cover?
